Every US hospital's Medicare cost report, in plain columns

6,608 hospitals. Free, no login, no JavaScript.

CMS publishes these filings free, as fixed-width text with no column names. We parse them, join them across years, screen every figure for internal consistency, and reconcile what we can against audited financial statements — then say which ones failed.

16 figures on this dataset agree with audited financial statements to the dollar, out of 69 checked at 28 providers against an independent source (20 within tolerance). We publish every one, including the failures.

Revenue reconciles far more often above $100M of net patient revenue than below it, and we publish which hospitals were checked and which failed.

Every figure here comes from a cost-report coordinate, and a wrong coordinate produces a plausible number. See how we check them, and which checks fail.
